“They’re big fans,” Kelley said. “They’ve always been involved in mine and my sister’s lives, whether it was soccer or guitar lessons, chasing a crazy dream in Nashville like this. They were at pretty much every baseball game I ever played, and they’re at a ton of shows.”

And even when they’re unable to be there, they’re still in the loop.

“They watch everything,” he said. “They keep up with everything. They send me articles that I don’t even know are out. And that energy — that positive energy. Those good vibes are awesome.”

“It’s so cool to be so connected with my mom and dad, and their support really helped me get to Nashville and find a safe place here and create a home here,” he said. “I’m forever grateful to my parents and their support. Without them, I wouldn’t be here — 100 percent, no doubt.”
