Traffic restrictions and detours will be in effect Saturday, June 4, from 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m., with U.S. 60 (Deuce of Clubs) closed at Whipple Road on the west and State Route 260 (White Mountain Road) on the east.

The eastbound detour will begin at the Deuce of Clubs and Whipple Road intersection, with traffic routed to Whipple Road to Central Avenue and south on Woolford Road to  South White Mountain Road, where the White Mountain Entertainment Show Low 5 movie theaters are located.

Westbound traffic on the Deuce of Clubs will be routed south on South White Mountain Road to Woolford Road and return to the Deuce of Clubs via Whipple Road. The Deuce of Clubs between 3rd Drive (by Ace Hardware) and Old Linden Road (by Sonic) will be closed during this time Saturday for the annual Derby Down the Deuce, one of the events of the three-day Show Low Days (which runs Friday, June 3, through Sunday, June 5).

An additional special event planned for this weekend is the Deuces Wild triathlon. Both Show Low Days and the triathlon attract large numbers of participants, with more bicycles and vehicles on the road than usual. Consequently, there will be some traffic delays so motorists are urged to plan accordingly and be extra-cautious of pedestrians, cyclists and other motor vehicles.
