Back in March the country music festival Dega Jam, which was slated for early July, was canceled. This was only a few weeks after Delaware’s Big Barrel along with two other country festivals announced they were also shuttering. Then, on Monday, PromoWest Productions announced the cancelation of Cincinnati’s Buckle Up country festival. These retractions had some people wondering if the country festival business had its best days behind it. Well, nobody told Willie Nelson and Blackbird Presents that country fests are on the ropes, since they announced the Outlaw Music Festival on Tuesday (July 26). The new gathering will come to Montage Mountain Pavillion in Scranton, Penn. on September 18. Headlining the show will be Nelson & Family, Neil Young + Promise of the Real and Sheryl Crow, with performances by The Chris Robinson Brotherhood, Lee Ann Womack, and Brothers Osborne.
